Terms of Service

Last updated August 21, 2026.

These terms cover the use of this website and the general basis on which we quote and carry out work. The written scope and agreement you sign for a specific job governs that job, and where it differs from anything here, the signed agreement wins.

Using this website

The content here is general information about restoration and reconstruction. It is not professional, legal or insurance advice, and it is not a substitute for having somebody look at your building. Damage varies, and nothing on this site should be relied on as a diagnosis of your situation.

Estimates

Estimates are free and written. An estimate is based on what is visible and measurable at the time we inspect. Restoration work regularly uncovers damage behind a wall or under a floor that nobody could see beforehand, and where that happens we will tell you and agree a revised scope in writing before carrying out the additional work. An estimate is not a contract until it is signed.

Emergency work

When a building is actively taking damage, the first visit is about stopping that: board up, tarping, shutting off a source, extracting standing water. By asking us to attend an emergency you authorize us to carry out reasonable work to make the property safe and prevent further damage. Most policies not only allow this, they require you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.

Insurance

We document losses to the standard adjusters work to and we will deal with your carrier directly where you want us to. We are not your insurer, your adjuster or your public adjuster. Your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, we do not decide what it covers, and you remain responsible for amounts your policy does not pay, including your deductible.

Your insurer may recommend a restoration contractor. The choice of who does the work is yours.

Scheduling

We give realistic timeframes rather than optimistic ones, but restoration is weather-dependent and demand-dependent work. After a regional event such as a freeze or a windstorm, every restoration company in the area is triaging at once. Permit and inspection schedules on a reconstruction are set by the jurisdiction, not by us.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your signed agreement. Where work is being paid through an insurance claim, that does not change who is responsible for the bill: the agreement is between you and us.

Warranty

Reconstruction work we perform is warrantied. If something we installed fails or was not carried out properly, contact us and we will come back and put it right. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by a later event, work performed by others, or materials you supplied.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, our liability arising out of a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost income. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
